Professional Distance Runner

Favorite Products:
Steve Olsen has been a fairly competitive athlete for almost fifteen years. “It seems the older I get the more I want to do. I have always enjoyed running, but for several years now I’ve primarily focused on the marathon distance. After winning the Utah Grand Slam competition in 2005 with a PR of 2:40 and running the Boston Marathon, I really wanted to try something new. This is when I got into triathlons. I did well at the short distances, but if you’re anything like me, if you like a little of something you want more.” Steve has been actively training for 15 years and is certified in spinning instruction, AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) personal training, and USAT (USA Triathlon). He’s an Exercise Science Alliance strength trainer and aerobics instructor, an American Red Cross Instructor/Trainer, and a certified GGX Fitness Director. His passion for fitness is fueled through assisting others in achieving their goals.

Why I’m a NOW Ambassador

As I began training for the longer distances it was obvious that in order to be competitive I’d need to have a greater focus on nutrition and supplementation. This is when I turned to NOW® Sports supplements. The result of my improved supplementation regimen and many hours of training was a qualifying time for the 2009 70.3 Half Ironman World Championships in Clearwater, Florida. I’ve also become an endurance trainer specializing in Spin instruction and competition preparation and training. I’m currently a competitive local athlete and I’ve recently participated and placed in a number of endurance events. “Choose today to do more than you think you can, and there will be no failure.” [sections] [section title=”Accomplishments”]
